It's been some months since this group has seen some activity. Unfortunately I've been neglecting you guys! But we're BACK, and it's time to breathe some life back into this community.

Maltese-Deviants devMeet - TAKE TWO - 2010:
Remember the giggles and squees we shared back in September? On the 11th of September to be precise. Emerging from the depths of the underground art society of deviantart, that day confirmed the existence of a new, active group of Maltese artists willing to push the boundaries of the local art scene and make themselves heard. So now it's time to reunite ourselves, catch up on all the gossip and have fun together again, like we did back in Summer.
I'm thinking we should have our second meet on a Sunday this time - may be convenient for those who work and aren't free on weekdays. How does Sunday 3rd January 2010 sound to you? Also, if you have any ideas of what we could do please don't hesitate to share them. For now, I'm completely clueless as to what we could do.

Looking For New Gallery Moderator:</u>
The position for Gallery Moderator is still open if anyone is interested. I'm in contact with 2 people who might be willing to take up the job, but until then, please let me know if you'd like to give a helping hand!

So much has been going on lately outside of the internet it's crazy! I've neglected this group for a couple of weeks, I feel horrible. Time to get things back on track! Lots to update you artists on.

Malta Comic Convention:
A Maltese ComiCon will be taking place on 30-31st October & 1st November 2009 at the St. James Cavalier in Valletta! Top British artists/writer David Lloyd of the V for Vendetta and Kickback fame will be there, along with other top foreign artists.
If you're interested in booking a table, the final registration meeting is going to be held next Monday 19th October at 8pm St. James Cavalier. If you need anymore information please contact Chris at chrislegalle@gmail.com
10 Euros - table for 1/2 persons
20 Euros onwards - table for larger groups

Zombie Walk:
The Mr.Sock Society, in association with Malta Comic Con is organizing what will be Malta's first zombie walk. A zombie walk? What's that? Wikipedia : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zombie_w…
We're meeting at 9:00am at St.James Cavalier, Malta Comic Con has booked a room for us so we can get ready in there and apply make-up on Saturday 24th October. We shall proceed slowly down Republic Street and gawk in the large open public spaces to promote the ComiCon. Re costumes and clothes - further info will be posted later, for now what we need are warm bodies, ready to sign up! Aiming for 20 people if possible, so get your arses zombified!

Looking For New Gallery Moderator:</u>
Unfortunately, our dear x-Sassy-x has had to give up her position of gallery moderator to the club due to her busy 6th form schedule (bet you know what I'm talking about). She's helped the group out a lot, so many thanks to her and her hard work to keep the gallery running! We are now on the lookout for a new moderator to help alongside cekcek, so if anyone's interested, please PM the group. We really could use the help!

Latest News: Post-DevMeet
As you all probably already know by now, our first ever devMeet took place last Friday afternoon onwards. It was a huge success, with over 20 people turning out. We shared cookies, had our pictures taken, squealed over mangas/animes, yaoi pairings, hated on Twilight, doodled in each other's sketchbooks and generally had a really awesome time. As the sun began to set, people began to leave, but those who stayed on had a small BBQ on the beach and continued with their deviousness.
